Protecting our Future Environment for Another 50 years! -- KEA was created by local activists Mary Lou and Scott Reed and Art Manley in 1972. We are the oldest environmental agency in the state of Idaho, and celebrate 50+ years, along with the
Clean Water Act, passed by Congress in the same year. As
Lake Coeur d'Alene Waterkeeper, the Clean Water Act is our guiding principle and the very law that keeps our lake clean, swimmable, fishable and drinkable.

Want to be a part of all this?
We ask that you use recycled, trash, dumpster junk, old stuff renewed for at least 80% of your entry. No glitter allowed! A $25 registration fee for each entry, helps us with providing you make-up, support, snacks & drinks at the event, and more. Worth it, every cent!
Just wanna have fun and strut your stuff? We'll set you up with an artist. All you have to do is walk the length of the runway and own your unique attitude, about 2 - 3 minutes along with a song. Couldn't be easier!
Do you love our mission and just want to lend a helping hand?
We are looking for community-minded volunteers to work in the background and ensure our event is successful. We ask you to volunteer at least 10 hours for a ticket. Limit 10 volunteers.
