Come join Kootenai Environmental Alliance’s Lake Coeur d’Alene Waterkeeper for a 2.5 hour canoe trip around Blackwell Island on June 17th at 10 am. We will be meeting at the North Idaho College’s Outdoor Pursuits beach rental area and be departing from there, as well as returning once finished. This educational paddle will feature five different stops along the three-mile loop that will teach you about our water quality and our environment.
Discounted kayak and paddleboard rentals are available through the NIC Outdoor Pursuits program for about $20, or you are welcome to bring your own and join us free. If you are interested in renting, we strongly suggest you call the Outdoor Pursuits program and reserve your equipment at (208)769-7809.
If bringing your own boats, please be sure to get an invasive species tag. Please be sure to dress for the weather. We require all participants to wear their life.
In addition, there will be a raffle and after party at the Gathering Garden where we will be raffling off a rafting trip on the Clark Fork River that ROW Adventures generously donated.
Come join us for this couple of hours of educational fun!
