Dear Members and Friends of Kootenai Environmental Alliance,
Adrienne Cronebaugh, KEA’s Executive Director, will be leaving us this next month. We will miss her and all of her passionate work on KEA’s behalf but are pleased for her as she moves on to a new and exciting chapter in her life. Adrienne has been a passionate and tireless activist for the environmental movement since she assumed responsibility as Executive Director. Thanks to her leadership and determination over the past seven years, we have witnessed a healthy and robust expansion of KEA’s programs and membership and have also earned, thanks to our KEA members, the respect of our community as being champions for our home environment. Words are insufficient for us to express our deep gratitude and thanks for all that Adrienne has done promoting KEA’s mission. We wish her the very best as she pursues her next adventure with her family!
The KEA Board of Directors feels that it is in our best interest as an organization to take a moment to set our course for the future. We are very fortunate that Sharon Bosley, KEA’s Outreach and Development Coordinator, is willing to serve as Interim-Executive Director for the time, while we examine the needs of the organization and explore the possibilities for further growth and development. Sharon has been working closely with Adrienne over the past few weeks to ensure a smooth transition.
We will be challenging our volunteer program leaders to consider strategies for expanding our reach over the next three years. Reach in terms of measurable goals, additional program partners, new funding sources, and leadership opportunities for the Board, staff and volunteers. During the next several months, we will be asking you to contribute your ideas and recommendations to help us complete this important task.
In the meantime, KEA’s schedule of activities for 2017 is very much “on track”. We will fully support Sharon and our volunteers to ensure that we maintain the quality of standards we are known to deliver.
The search for KEA’s next Executive Director continues. We would welcome hearing from you about potential candidates you feel are qualified and ready to serve. Please send any suggestions you may have to KEA’s Board President, Tiffany Heiss (
We truly appreciate your support and value your input. Now, more than ever, we need to unite our community to ensure the protection of our natural resources for future generations.
